WHEAT FLOUR LADDUS Recipe
Ingredients:
• 2 cups wheat flour;
• ½ cup rava;
• ¼ dry coconut;
• 2 tblsps. Roasted til;
• 1 cup grated jaggery;
• 1 tsp. Cardamom seeds;
• ghee.
Method:
1. Mix together flour and rava.
2. Add enough milk to form a stiff dough.
3. Then form the mixture into oval-shaped balls and deep fry till crisp
and golden.
4. Drain, cool and pound to a fine powder then pass through a fine sieve.
5. Fry the coconut to a brown colour.
6. Slice half the coconut finely, and pound the remaining coconut to a
fine powder with 1 tblsp. Til.
7. Heat 3 tblsps. Ghee and put in the jaggery, when it turns into a syrup,
put in sliced coconut, flour mixture, 1 tblsp. Tiland cardamom seeds and
cook over a slow fire till the mixture turns thick.
8. Remove from fire and form into round balls or laddus, roll in ground
coconut mixture and set aside to turn dry and hard and store in an airtight
tin.
