TOMATOE HALWA Recipe
Ingredients:
• 500 grams tomatoes;
• 100 grams grated coconut;
• 100 grams khoya;
• 250 grams sugar,
• 1 tsp cardamom seeds;
• Silver foil.
Method:
1. Peel, slice and puree the tomatoes.
2. Roast the coconut lightly.
3. Put coconut, tomatoe puree, sugar and cardamom seeds over a slow fire
and cook till the mixture turns thick.
4. Mix in the khoya and continue cooking till the mixture forms a ball
and leaves the sides of the vessel.
5. Put in a greased thali, level the surface and cover with foil.
6. When cold into any shape you like and store in airtight tins.
