SHAKURPARE How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?

SHAKURPARE Recipe

Ingredients:

• 250 grams maida;
• A pinch baking powder;
• 1 tsp. Cardamom powder,
• 250 grams sugar,
• A few drops of rose essence;
• 2 tblsps til,
• Ghee

Method:

1. Puts 2 cups water in sugar and prepare a syrup of one thread consistency.
2. Mix in essence and keep it warm.
3. Blend together maida, cardamom powder, til and baking powder.
4. Add enough water to form a stiff dough.
5. Roll out the dough into a thin round chapatti.
6. Cut the chapatti into thin and long strips and cut the strips into small diamonds.
7. Deep fry a few diamonds at a time to a light golden colour, drain and put into the syrup.
8. When the syrup begins to dry on them separate them and set aside to turn cold.
9. When the shakurparas are cold the syrup should have left a hard and white sugary layer on their surface.
10. Store in an airtight tin.
