SEVIYAN PAK How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?
SEVIYAN PAK Recipe
Ingredients:
• 250 grams Vermicelli;
• 250 grams khoya, unsweetened;
• 500 grams sugar,
• 1 tsp. Cardamom powder,
• 25 grams each of blanched and sliced almonds and pistachios;
• 1 tblsp. Charoli;
• A few drops each of rose essence and yellow food colouring;
• Silver foil;
• Ghee.
Method:
1. Put 2 cups water in sugar and prepare a syrup of one-thread consistency.
2. Remove from fire and keep it warm.
3. Heat 4 tblsps Ghee and fry the vermicelli or seviyan over a slow fire
to a nice golden colour.
4. Remove from fire.
5. reheat the syrup and put in khoya, when the mixture turns smooth, put
in seviyan, cardamoms and nuts and keep on stirring till the mixture turns
thick.
6. Remove from fire and mix in colour and essence.
7. Put in a greased thali, level the surface and cover with foil.
8. When cold, cut into small pieces and store in airtight tins.
