RUS VADE How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?

RUS VADE Recipe

Ingredients:

• 250 grams utad dal flour;
• 500 grams khoya;
• 25 grams each of raisins and blanched almonds;
• ½ kilo sugar,
• 1 tsp. Either essence of rose or saffron.
• A few drops of yellow food colouring.
• 1 tsp. Cardamom powder,
• silver or golden foil;
• Ghee.


Method:

1. Put 2 cups water in sugar and prepare a syrup of one-thread consistency.
2. Remove from fire and mix in essence and colour.
3. Mix khoya, flour and cardamom powder along with very little milk to form a dough.
4. Slice raisins and nuts finely and form the dough into small, around balls with a few slices of nuts and raisins stuffed inside.
5. Deep fry a few at a time to a nice golden colour. Drain and toss into the syrup.
6. Let them remain for half an hour in the syrup and then cover with foil.
