POPPY SEEDS KHIRNI How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?

POPPY SEEDS KHIRNI Recipe


Ingredients:

• 1 tblsp. Poppy seeds;
• 1 tblsp. Grains of wheat;
• 1 tblsp. Each of finely sliced almonds and pistachios;
• 1 tsp. Crushed cardamom seeds;
• ½ litre milk;
• ½ cup sugar;
• Ghee.

Method:

1. Soak wheat and poppy seeds in water for 24 hours, then clean nicely and grind to a smooth paste.
2. Heat 4 tblsps. Ghee and fry the paste to a golden colour.
3. Add sugar, milk and cardamom seeds.
4. Cook till only half the original quantity of milk is left.
5. Serve immediately decorated with nuts.
