PEDA How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?
PEDA Recipe
Ingredients:
• 1 kilo unsweetened khoya;
• 375 grams sugar,
• 2 tblsps. Milk;
• ½ tsp. Saffron strands;
• 2 tblsps. Seeds of big black cardamoms;
• 50 grams sliced pistachio nuts
Method:
1. Heat the milk and put saffron strands, let them soak in it for 5 minutes
and then crush to a paste.
2. Put khoya and sugar together in a pan and cook over a slow fire till
all the moisture is absorbed, put in saffron and continue cooking till
dry, remove from fire cool and knead to a smooth mixture.
3. Form the mixture into round flat balls with cardamom seeds stuffed
inside and decorate both the sides with sliced pistachios.
4. Cool thoroughly and store in an airtight in.
