PEANUT MITHAI How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?

PEANUT MITHAI Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 kilo raw peanuts;
• 500 grams sugar;
• 1 tea-cup of coarsely pounded cashewnuts;
• 1 tblsp cardamom seeds;
• 1 tsp essence of rose.
• Silver warq.

Method:

1. Soak peanuts in water for half an hour and clean them nicely, then grind to a paste and strain out the milk through a cloth.
2. Put milk and sugar in a pan and cook over a slow fire till the mixture turns thick.
3. Mix in the rest of the above ingredients and keep on stirring till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan.
4. Put in a greased tbali, level the surface and cover with warq.
5. When cold cut into pieces and store in airtight tins.
