LAUK-KI-RUBRI Recipe
Ingredients:
• ½ litre milk.
• 2 slices bread, trimmed;
• 6 tblsps. Sugar,
• 1 cup grated marrow;
• ½ cup cream;
• 1 tsp cardamom powder,
• ½ tsp. Of rose essence,
• 50 grams mixed sliced nuts of your choice;
• silver warq or foil;
• ghee.
Method:
1. Fry the nuts
2. Soak broken pieces of bread in milk.
3. Heat 2 tblsps. Ghee and fry the vegetable to a golden colour.
4. Sprinkle little water on top.
5. Cover tightly and cook till the vegetable is cooked.
6. Beat the milk with an egg beater till the mixture turns smooth.
7. Add cream to the vegetable and sugar and keep stirring till the mixture
thick and starts leaving the side of the vessel.
8. Mix into the milk the rest of the above ingredients and serve chilled.
