GOKUL PITHE How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?

GOKUL PITHE Recipe


Ingredients:

• 2 cups refined flour,
• 2 tsps. Baking powder,
• milk,
• 2 cups sugar,
• ½ tsp. Of rose essence;
• 2 cups finely grated coconut;
• 4 tblsps. Sugar,
• 1 tsp. Cardamom seeds;
• 50 grams mixed sliced nuts of your choice;
• 1 cup khoya;
• ghee.


Method:

1. Mix together flour and baking powder along with enough milk to form a thick batter.
2. Put 1 cup water in sugar and prepare a thick syrup.
3. Heat 3 tblsps. Ghee and fry the coconut to a light golden colour.
4. Add sugar and stir till the mixture crystallizes.
5. Mix in the rest of the filling ingredients and cook till thick.
6. Remove from fire, cool and form into oblong-shaped rolls.
7. Dip in the batter and deep fry to a golden colour.
8. Drain and toss into the syrup, sprinkle essence on top and serve after a few hours.
