CORN MITHAI How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?

CORN MITHAI Recipe

Ingredients:

• 4 large tender corn-on-the-cobs;
• 6 tblsps. Melted ghee;
• 2 litres milk;
• 1 tblsp. Cardamom seeds;
• 2 tblsps. Poppy seeds
• 25 grams each of almonds and pistachios;
• 1 ½ cup sugar,
• ¼ tsp. Rose essence,
• Silver warq.

Method:

1. Place milk on a slow fire and cook stirring often till the milk turns thick and leaves the sides of the vessel.
2. Grate corn on a fine grater.
3. Heat ghee and fry the corn to a golden colour.
4. Slice the nuts.
5. Make a syrup with sugar and ½ cup water.
6. Add the milk and mix it well into the syrup.
7. Mix in the rest of the above ingredients and continue cooking till the mixture turns thick and leaves the sides of the vessel.
8. Put in a greased tbali, level the surface, cover with warq and set aside to turn cold and then cut into pieces and store in an airtight tin.
