COCONUT MITHAI How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?
COCONUT MITHAI Recipe
Ingredients:
• 1 kilo coconut finely grated;
• 500 grams khoya
• 750 grams sugar;
• 1 tsp. Rose essence;
• A few drops orange red food colouring;
• 1 tblsp. Cardamom seeds;
• 50 grams sliced pistachios.
Method:
1. Spread coconut on a clean cloth and set aide for an hour.
2. Melt sugar in a steel pan and prepare thick syrup.
3. Add khoya and mix it to blend well into the syrup.
4. Mix in coconut and cardamoms and keep on stirring till the mixture
leaves the sides of the pan.
5. Put in essence and remove from fire.
6. Divide the mixture into two parts.
7. Colour one portion orange and put on a geased tbali, level the surface
and on top put the white portion.
8. Spread evenly and decorate with pistachios.
9. Cut into pieces when cold and store in an airtight tin.
