How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?

COCONUT MALPOA Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 coconut, finely grated;
• 1 litre milk;
• 100 grams mixed nuts of your choice;
• 25 grams raisins;
• 300 grams refined flour;
• 1 kilo sugar,
• 1 tsp cardamom powder;
• ½ tsp. Grated nutmeg;
• Coconut water,
• Ghee.


Method:

1. Put sugar on a slow fire with 1 glass water and prepare a syrup of one-thread consistency.
2. Slice the nuts and raisins.
3. Boil the milk to about three-fourths its original quantity.
4. Remove from fire and mix in the flour, grated coconut, coconut water, nutmeg, cardamoms and half of the nuts and raisins.
5. Heat enough ghee for deep frying to smoking, reduce heat and put 2 tblsps. Of batter in it, spread to a thin round shape.
6. Fry till the sides of the malpoa are brown and crisp.
7. Drain and toss into the prepared syrup. Let it soak in it for 15 minutes, remove, decorate with remaining nuts and raisins and serve at once.
