COCONUT-CASHEWNUT MITHAI How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?

COCONUT-CASHEWNUT MITHAI Recipe

Ingredients:

• 1 kilo finely grated coconut;
• 500 grams khoya;
• 750 grams sugar;
• 1 tsp. Of rose essence;
• 250 grams pounded cashewnuts;
• 2 tsp. Coarsely pounded cardamom seeds;
• A few each split almonds and pistachios.

Method:

1. Spread coconut on a clean cloth and set aside for an hour or so.
2. Melt sugar in a steel pan and prepare a thick syrup.
3. Add khoya and mix to blend well into the syrup.
4. Add the rest of the above ingredients with the exception of split nuts.
5. Keep on stirring till the mixture leaves the sides of the vessel.
6. Put in a greased tbali.
7. Level the surface and decorate with split nuts.
8. When it turns cold cut into any shape you like and store in airtight containers.
