BALUSHAHI How to Prepare -Make -Cook ?

BALUSHAHI Recipe

Ingredients:

• 4 cups flour,
• a pinch of baking powder,
• 1 kilo sugar,
• 1 tblsp. Of rose essence;
• a handful of dried rose petals;
• Ghee.


Method:

1. Mix together flour and baking powder, then mix in enough melted ghee until the mixture when squeezed in hand holds together.
2. Then add very little water and form a dough.
3. Put 1 glass water in sugar and prepare a thick syrup.
4. Remove from fire, mix in the essence and keep it warm.
5. Now form the dough into small and round balls, flatten them and make dents in the centre.
6. Deep fry a few balls at a time over a very slow fire till balushabis are well-risen.
7. Toss the balushabis into the syrup.
8. When they start to dry, remove from the syrup and put the remaining syrup over top and stick petals over them.
9. Store in an airtight tin or container.
